We would like to update you on our progress regarding Celebrating Earth Spirituality and Reading Pagans & Witches, as a whole.
First, we'd like to thank you for your patience through our trials and tribulations of 2011. Unfortunately, we've had to come to some painful decisions regarding this year's Celebrating Earth Spirituality. Due to a lack of funds (for a variety of reasons) we are cancelling the event. This was a painful decision to make but not an uncommon one, not just for us as with the May Faire event but with other organizations, even big ones (ie Montgomery County, PA parks department has chosen to cancel this year's Irish Scottish Festival, one of the largest on the east coast, due to similar reasons). Hopefully, our entire country's economy can recover on a holistic level for everyone.
Secondly, we are taking a break from running our events for 2012 and will be refocusing the vision of Reading Pagans & Witches and working on getting more people interested on various levels, which we are hoping will bring even more people to our events in the future. This is a temporary shift of focus, to make the events we will be putting on, once more, in the future even better for everyone.
Please keep in contact with us via our website and Facebook for updates as we progress through 2012 and beyond. We are hoping to man booths at various fairs and community events (both alternative and more mainstream, in and around the Reading area.) We are hoping this refocus will make things even better and stronger for all.
We ARE still planning a Yule Ball for December 10, 2011.
